Pictures, Pictures Everywhere |

| One of the things that is most noticeable when you
review the old SRF Magazines is the incredible visibility the 3rd president has
been given in respect to the first two presidents. The 1st president, Yogananda, was the Guru. He really is not comparable to the succeeding presidents. But lets look anyway at his profile. Yogananda pictures of himself in the SRF Magazine and book appeared moderately. Most of the time there was a picture of the Guru in the Magazine sometime not. Once in a while there appear more than one. We see Yoganandas picture in the book but I have never seen him as the center fold. One would think the Yogananda being the founder and Guru of the organization would have the highest profile. Not so. The 2nd president Rajasi is almost invisible. Very seldom mention in the articles of the Self-Realization Magazine. From 52 55 other than his passing I could only find 3 picture of Rajasi printed in the SRF Magazine. There is a book out on Rajasi. Other than that and in the AY you never see his pictures in any of the other books. They say "Good wine needs no sign" Rajasi was so busy doing a great job he didnt have time to make sure everyone knew about it. |

| The 3rd President Daya Mata. What a different story. By the end of 1955 Daya Mata has published her picture in the SRF Magazine more times than the total time Rajasi had been in office. Daya Matas picture appears today as much and sometime more that the Guru when he was in from. There is hardly a Magazine that does not have at lease one or two pictures of her. Her pictures are included in many of the books. When you open the paperback of the Autobiography of a Yogi, you would think the center fold that the book opens to would be Yogananda. It's not, it is Daya Mata. This is Yogananda's book. Daya Mata has her own books. We don't see Yogananda as a center fold in any of her books. At convocations note; many times the center of the room is filled with Daya Matas books, and Yogananda's books sits on the sidelines. This is a great testament about the state of affairs for this organization. At convocation as one faces the stage, there is usually a large picture of Yogananda to the right, on an easel with a garland round it. Do you realize that in India, Daya Mata allows SRF to put her picture on an easel which is place at the right hand side of the stage just like the Gurus picture here.. The Masters are in the back ground. I will published a photo showing this when I relocate it. |

Not to mention that there are more tapes of Yogananda speaking that have not been make available to the public. Yet we have so many tapes by Daya Mata. Proportionally Master to Daya Mata, Daya Mata wins. If SRF would have put the time and resources they have spent publishing other monastics works, into Yogananda's works, we would have more of Yogananda's writings and tapes today. It makes one wonder whos organization this really is now? Could one consider this personality worship? Why is SRF allowing Daya Mata to be so publicized? Daya Mata is not a Guru, she's a president. A president who is no longer functioning as one. She is only a figure head. She has not been physically or mentally capable of running SRF for many years now. Others run SRF. The practical thing to do would be to allow those who are really running to take office so that they might be acknowledged and can be held accountable and responsible for their action. Unfortunately SRF has chosen not to do that. One would think that if one is self-realized and unattached from this life, it would be a joy to step away from the presidency and go into mediation and seclusion towards the end of one life. That does not seem to be the case here. To me, it is just as dishonest, phony, and deceptive to accept credit for the work that one has not done (Not giving acknowledgment to the ones running SRF) as it is not to take credit and responsibility for one's work and actions when things go wrong. It makes one wonders where the Dynasty got their values? |
